REST IN GOD

Are you feeling tired and exhausted, I believe many of you must be tired because of working all week or tired of  life in general, whatever the situation may be i believe you are ready to rest and enjoy the weekend and life. What better way to jump start your week or refresh your life by resting in God’s presence.

His says in His word “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Mathew 11:28-30

God is gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest in Him. So if you’ve had a hectic week rest in God and let Him give you clarity in your mind. In Him you will find peace, joy, strength, hope ,love and life. So enter God’s rest because life is crazy as you know it and its very vital that you take time away and spend it with God and reenergize yourself in His strength and enjoy everyday life.

Sometimes as busy as you might be when you do things in life by relying on your strength you will end up frustrated, tired and stressed out because you did not involve God in your day and put Him at the center of your daily routine. Don’t run away from God!

Psalms31:1-5. I run to you, God; I run for dear life. Don’t let me down! Take me seriously this time. Get down on my level and listen, and please—no procrastination! Your granite cave a hiding place, your high cliff aerie a place of safety. You’re my cave to hide in, my cliff to climb. Be my safe leader, be my true mountain guide. Free me from hidden traps; I want to hide in you, I’ve put my life in your hands. You won’t drop me, you’ll never let me down.

Are you running away from God because of what you have faced in your life and you have lost all hope, faith and belief in God that you are running away from Him instead of to Him.

Many times when we’re going through situations it’s easy to bask into the pain, it’s easy to bask into the situation and feel sorry for ourselves and decide not to confront what is before us and decide to run away from God instead of running into His presence.

Sometimes we lean more on the bad staff that are going on instead of rejoicing on the victories won and believing in the powerful name of Jesus that He’s going to get us through this but instead we wallow in the pain and misery and that does not draw you close to God but actually drives you away from Him.

Running away sometimes can mean giving up ,choosing to do things your own way, not trusting in God’s power, leaning on your own wisdom and most of the time when that happens the end of it all is chaos, disappointment and distraction because you do not trust in God to help you through your journey.  You did not choose to run towards God you chose to run towards self.

Do not to be afraid of your journey, of your story no matter how hard it gets. Don’t quit, do not look the other way and shy away from the challenges that you face and trust God with everything and run to Him,seek Him and ask Him for guidance and counsel and He will direct your path and give you wisdom beyond your understanding.

God is saying stop running  but trust Him because running away from God can cause more harm than good. Every time you run away from God’s presence you are vulnerable to the enemies schemes and tactics.

Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

 If you’re running away from God you are allowing the enemy into your life because every time you do that you give the enemy the opportunity to control and destroy your life. Without God you are not protected. Pain, misery, disappointments, depression, hopelessness will overwhelm you and destroy you without God. In order to be under God’s covering you need to run to God and He will protect from all evil and nothing shall come near your dwelling.

The Bible says in psalms 91:1-16. Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side,ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. Remember God will always protect you when you choose to run to Him and when you put Him first. Your story, your life doesn’t have to end badly, God is going to turn your ashes into beauty so don’t run take the course and finish well . Don’t runaway from God run to God and you will experience exceeding joy, blessings and His amazing Grace.

God of the second chance

From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the Lord his God. He said: “In my distress I called to the Lord, and he answered me. From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help, and you listened to my cry ,You hurled me into the depths, into the very heart of the seas, and the currents swirled about me all your waves and breakers swept over me. Jonah 2:1-3

When Jonah was in the belly of the fish he thought he was going to die, he thought his future was over, he didn’t not think he would survive that situation but God saved Jonah from death because His a God of second chances and beyond chances.

Some of you might be going through a similar situation as Jonah did and you think it’s over, you think your going to die, your thinking your dreams will never come to pass. Whatever is dead in your life God is giving you life again. It’s not over , God is giving you another chance to start over again and again and fulfill your destiny.

Has your hope in God been fading, do you feel like you can’t go on. Do you feel like you’re not worthy because of what you’ve done and what has happened in your life, are you doubting who God has created you to be and wondering whether you ever going get a chance to live and fulfill your dreams, well I got good news for you, God is a God of a second chance, He will never desert you no matter what you have done, His arms are open wide to you and He’s here to give you a second chance because he will never deny you. 

God has a plan for your life more than you know. I don’t know the story of your life or where you are now or what you’re still struggling with but God knows.

God is mindful of you and He hears your prayers and whatever you have prayed for God is going to bring it to pass, you might not have the answers right now but God’s delays or not He’s denial his timing is perfect.

No matter how many times you fall God will never give up on you. Trust him and get up again. Jesus says in Him you can begin again, hope again, dream again, love again, win again, live again and prosper again because His a God of the second chance and beyond. What was dead in your life is a live again today in Jesus name.

FORGIVEN

When God created you , you where born into a world full of sin because Adam and Eve sinned. The world was full if chaos, sin you name it , they was a lot of darkness. That’s when God gave us his son born by the virgin marry so that He could redeem us from sin and darkness.

The Bible says in John 3:16,For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

God sacrificed His only begotten son so that you could walk in freedom. He bled and died for you so that you didn’t have to suffer, He stood in the gap for you and bore your sins and transgressions. In Him you have eternal life.

Isaiah 53:7 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.

Jesus was pierced, shamed, beaten for you so you could live a life free from the bondage of sin. The painful agony He had to overcome just for, so don’t sit there and rehearse your sins and cry about them or have a pity party because of what you have done when Jesus endured all the pain so you cold live a life that’s free of all that chaos and the sin torture that’s going on in your mind and remember it doesn’t matter what you done God says you are forgiven and your sins are not remembered anymore because in God you are new creation. He says it in His word that…“I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, And I will not remember your sins… Isaiah 43:25.

God says He doesn’t remember your sins, so stop condemning yourself or let others condemn you. In Jesus you are free , shame doesn’t have a hold on , pain doesn’t have a hold on you, sin has no power over you.

Jesus died so you can live a guilt free life. Once you accept Him in your life and ask Him to forgive you of all your sins and cleanse you from all your sinful ways. He will cleanse you and make you brand new again because God is a forgiving God . Remember He did it all for you at Calvary.

He took your pain and suffering so that you didn’t have to suffer. He bled for you so you didn’t have to bleed, He took all shame for you so that you don’t have to live in shame, He overcame fear so that you could live a life free of fear and live a confident and bold life in Him. That’s how much Jesus loves you.

So when you feel discouraged, afraid, feeling less than , worthless because of what you have done, remember this, you are forgiven, you are free, Jesus broke the chains of bondage off of you the day He sacrificed His life for you at the cross.

So declare this over yourself…I am forgiven, not forsaken, I am redeemed by the blood of Jesus , in Him I’m free from the curse of sin and nothing will stand in the way of my destiny because Jesus says so and that settles it. I am covered in Jesus name Amen

Your love is Loyal

From the raising of the sun to the going down of the same God’s love is loyal. Many times that you have fallen short, God’s love has always been there for you. Even as you take a minute and reflect on your life and how far God has brought you from you will realize if it was not for God you wouldn’t have made it this far.

Psalms 36:5-9 (The Message bible) God’s love is meteoric, his loyalty astronomic, His purpose titanic, his verdicts oceanic.Yet in his largeness nothing gets lost; Not a man, not a mouse, slips through the cracks. How exquisite your love, O God! How eager we are to run under your wings,To eat our fill at the banquet you spread as you fill our tankards with Eden spring water. You’re a fountain of cascading light, and you open our eyes to light.

Do you have Aha! moments when you think about how God’s love has always been constant, unconditional and loyal even when you where not loyal to God. His love for you has never wavered not matter what you have done. God’s love for you is not measured by your actions because He is all knowing God , He knows our actions before we act but He loves us anyway.

When i look at my life and how far God has brought me from i can’t help but say thank you Lord ,I have many Aha! moments where God’s love for me has surpassed my understanding. He has indeed been faithful to me, loved me unconditional. His love for me has always been loyal. He has always been there for me anytime i have needed Him and i believe He has been there for you to.

To anyone thats reading these writings from God’s heart to yours and you are wondering if God loves you, the answer is yes yes and yes, He loves you. Even before you where in your mothers womb He loved you then and still loves you now, God has never changed His mind about you.

No matter how many times you have felt unworthy, less than and the many nights you have cried yourself to sleep, Gods love has never left your side and His not planning to leave you now. Trust in Gods loyalty you will always feel loved because you are indeed loved by God.

Whenever your world falls apart , you feel misunderstood ,confused, lost, overwhelmed, depressed or anything that has stolen your joy, smile and innocence, i want you know God’s love is constant, unwavering , faithful, He will never leave your side , You can never out run His grace for you, trust Him today. No matter what you  are going through you are safer in His arms, He will never let you break, nor leave or never forsake you. His love for you will always forever be loyal.

Shake it off

Whatever is troubling you, whatever is holding you back, whatever is causing you to fear shake it off in jesus name, is it fear, pain, heartache, heartbreak, may be you have lost your job, a loved one, lost a best friend or may be you have been talked about by those you loved, betrayed, your depressed and stressed out , if you are a mother and the kids are stressing you out and you are so exhausted. Don’t loose hope God got you.

God’s word to you today is shake it off. whatever is troubling you, God wants you to place it all in His hand and know He got your back. God is a miracle worker and His knocking at the door of your heart, stop and listen to His voice. He is here to calm the noise in your life that has robed you of your peace and He is restoring you and giving you everlasting joy, all you need to do is let Him into your situation and your daily life and plans.

God says in His word in Mathew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

So just dance for joy  even when situations in your life look and feel so hopeless, shake it off whatever it is that weighing you down and know God has already taken care of it all. Rest in God’s gentle and humble heart. He says be anxious for nothing, allow Him to carry your burden today and give you rest in every area of your life.

Be happy and take the limits off of God , stop trying to control the situations in your life and let God do His job and know this in Isaiah 55:8-9 God says“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,”declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

I know you have been waiting for God’s promise for a while, i know life has been hard, but don’t you worry , don’t be weary because God is sending a rainbow over the dark cloud in your life. God is faithful to His promises and He will never leave defenseless. You are not forgotten or abandoned but you are truly loved by God.

He says in his word Isaiah 55: 11-12, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty,but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

So shake it off and dance before the king of kings and watch the walls of chaos come tumbling down before your eyes. I declare the sound of heaven ,the joy of the lord ,the dance of heaven upon you in Jesus name. This is the day of your victory and freedom.

God is already in your tomorrow

Many times in life you cry about what’s happening now, you worry about your problems or limitations, you complain about why God is not fuifilling His promises, and you feel so overwhelmed and anxious over something that God has already taken care of.

The bible says  in Philippians 4:6-7, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;  and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 

Many times in life we quit so quick,we panic in life because things have not gone our way and we end up missing the most important thing God has for us. When you make decisions being led by your fleshy emotions you will end up making the wrong decisions that we make you feel worser than you were before.

That’s why when situations in your life are very chaoitic, you feel like you have lost it all , you feel empty and alone, you feel like dying, giving up all hope, that’s the very moment when you need to call on God and trust Him like your life is depending on it.

God says no matter what you are going through let your heart be still and at peace because God says in His word  Matthew 6:26-34, Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?  Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? “So why do you worry about clothing? 

Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin;  and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 

“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

God is remainding you if he can feed the birds, Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; How much more will He take care of you His child, O you of little faith?

Don’t doubt God, no matter what your facing, what has happened or what is happening right now, God wants you to have faith, rest in His peace, trust in His plan and know God knows your tomorrow ,it might look dark right now but tomorrow Jesus is restoring all that the enemy has stolen from you , tomorrow you are going to smile again, tomorrow your bills will be paid, tomorrow God will defend you in the presence of your enemies and anoint you and bless you, tomorrow all the ranging storms will be no more.

God sacrificed and laid down his life for you because He loves you that much, His arms where bruised for you so you wouldn’t have to go through life alone. God wants you to hand Him all your situations so you can experience the glory of God in your life because its finished.

So i encourage you to trust God with your life and rest in His peace, say this prayer…Dear Lord come into my life , i give you my life, my body, my soul, transform my life ,heal me from the inside out and give me new life and remove any doubt from my heart that i will trust you and depend on you alone, even when things don’t go as planned. I trust You Lord and i place my tomorrows in Your hands ,I ask you to lead me always in Jesus name i pray Amen.

FEAR IS NOT YOUR MASTER

Many times when we have a promise from the lord and we are excited about the future and we are hopeful about everything in our lives, then fear creeps in like a bug and tries to distract you so you can lose focus of your purpose and destiny.

When we look at the story of David in the Bible he overcame Goliath, who was feared by everyone in the land and know one stood against him and survived. The Israelites feared the Philistine Giant because he seemed to be Invincible. But until David believed in Gods power to destroy the giant goliath that had inflicted so much fear and pain on God’s people, He destroyed goliath and the people of Israel where not afraid but believed and trusted in God. David went to battle with Confidence because he went to battle with God as the source of his strength.

 1 Samuel 17:32-47 “Master,” said David, “don’t give up hope. I’m ready to go and fight this Philistine.”Saul answered David, “You can’t go and fight this Philistine. You’re too young and inexperienced—and he’s been at this fighting business since before you were born.” David said, “I’ve been a shepherd, tending sheep for my father. Whenever a lion or bear came and took a lamb from the flock, I’d go after it, knock it down, and rescue the lamb. If it turned on me, I’d grab it by the throat, wring its neck, and kill it. Lion or bear, it made no difference—I killed it. And I’ll do the same to this Philistine pig who is taunting the troops of God-Alive. God, who delivered me from the teeth of the lion and the claws of the bear, will deliver me from this Philistine.”Saul said, “Go. And God help you!” Then Saul outfitted David as a soldier in armor. He put his bronze helmet on his head and belted his sword on him over the armor. David tried to walk but he could hardly budge. David told Saul, “I can’t even move with all this stuff on me. The whole earth will know that there’s an extraordinary God in Israel. And everyone gathered here will learn that God doesn’t save by means of sword or spear. The battle belongs to God—he’s handing you to us on a platter!”

Goliath represents that thing in your life that you are afraid of , trials & tribulations, a need, a hinderance,obstacle, that mountain that is standing in the way of your destiny. Only God can destroy the giant/ the Goliath in your life and grant you victory over every area in your life

As you have been going through life you have encountered a lot of challenges that have shaken the core of your faith and caused you to be afraid of your destiny. You are afraid to dream again, to love again, to hope again, to believe again and you have just settled for what is less than because you don’t want to have hope again and have it crushed al over again.

You heart is overwhelmed  and hurt and you as so afraid and you don’t know how to fix it. But i got good news for you  God wants to set you free today. His king and lord over your fear, so don’t allow fear to be the master over your life. His giving you power over your Goliath today. When you trust God you will overcome anything that seemed impossible. Trust in God’s strength.

When fear becomes the master over your life , it will control your destiny, your life, your dreams and your mind will be control by fear (devil) and not by faith. And the result of it will be destruction, pain and misery.

The bible says… For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7

Don’t allow the Goliath in your life to win because God has given you power over your goliath, by faith you have the strength to destroy your goliath, fear, pain , lack, sickness & disease have no authority over you.

The Bible says no weapon formed against you shall prosper And every tongue which rises against you in judgment.You shall condemn.This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,”Says the Lord.             Isaiah 54:17

I want to encourage you right now trust God with your Goliath, He will give you the power within to destroy and overcome the giants, the fears in your life,  just like He gave strength to David to defeat Goliath. Don’t allow fear or the Goliath’s in your life hinder you from pursuing your destiny and become the powerful woman or man God created you to be. In Jesus name ,you have the power and dominion to overcome anything that comes against you. Fear is not your master ,God is and He has great plans for your future and that is to prosper you and give you hope for the future.

The battle belongs to God, tonight God is giving victory over the giant that has been tormenting you for years. It is finished!, You have the victory today, Receive it in Jesus name.

Believe in yourself

when God created you He gave you purpose and that purpose needs to be fulfilled. All you need to do is believe in yourself, whether you fill like it or not. Not everyone is going to believe in you, your dreams or your destiny ,so its up to you to believe in your self, dream big, don’t put limitations on yourself .

God has never limited you, so why limit yourself from achieving that dream inside of you and fulfilling your destiny. You have it in you, so don’t you dare be afraid and leave in fear. Remember fear is the enemy of your dreams and destiny ,don’t allow it to creep in and destroy that which God put in you.

 For example Taragi’s dad knew acting was her daughters calling. One day he looked at her and said how do you expect to catch fish on dry land . So Taraji P. Henson Took A Chance On Hollywood With Only $700 And A Dream and believed in herself and stayed focused and now she is one of the best actresses in hollywood and she has gone to win many awards. Taraji continues to say “ you just have to stay the course and not getting distracted or compare yourself to others. you have to really stay focused  and stay grounded.

When you believe in yourself and not compare yourself to other people’s success and stay true to who you are and keep God at the center of it all you will achieve your dreams.

Do you know what God has called you to do?, what’s your dream? and what are you doing about it.

Nothing will ever happen if you are doing nothing. Many times we get lazy over our dreams and destiny and except that somebody is going to do it for us and help us fix it. But that’s a wrong mentality. You have to believe in you and chase your dreams, if you are not sure about What God has called you be ask him to show you what your purpose is and He will direct your path to your destiny. Many times we are not asking the right questions.

I challenge you today to believe in yourself, don’t compare yourself to others, stay focused ,grounded and trust in God’s plans for your life, don’t doubt or be afraid of your destiny.

It’s possible to achieve anything you put your mind to. The bible says you can do all things through christ who strengthens you. So dare to believe in yourself, if Taragi P Henson can do it you can do it to. Most of all God believes you can do it.
